Grokbot login, app and API

This is not the Grokbot login page. Grokbot School is an independent school. To sign in, open the Grok Bot app or go to the official page at x.ai/bot.
There is no separate Grokbot username and password. Grok Bot uses your Cursor account: open the app, choose the sign-in button and finish signing in in your browser with your Cursor account. (Cursor Help: Sign in) If your access comes from a Grok Business seat, choose "Sign in with Grok" instead.
How do I log in to Grokbot?
- Open the Grok Bot app on your computer.
- Choose the sign-in button.
- Finish signing in in your browser with your Cursor account.
- Return to Grok Bot. You should see your account in Settings.
On your phone, sign in with the same Cursor account you use on desktop. (Cursor Help: Sign in) To use a SuperGrok subscription, choose "Link Grok Account" on the Get Started screen before you sign in. Settings does not have that option. (Cursor Help: FAQs)
Why can't I log in to Grokbot?
Cursor's fixes for sign-in loops and authentication errors: update the app, sign out and in again, clear cookies for cursor.com and x.ai, try a private window, and on desktop try signing in at x.ai/bot with the same Cursor account. If the error is new, wait 30 to 60 minutes. Reinstalling usually does not help. (Cursor Help: Sign in)
Does Grokbot have an app?
Yes. The phone app runs on iPhone and Android, from the App Store and Google Play. (Cursor Help: Mobile) You do not have to pay again on your phone if your Cursor account already includes Grok Bot. Just sign in with the same account. (Cursor Help: FAQs)
Is there a Grokbot desktop app?
Yes. Cursor's help center says the desktop app runs on Mac, Windows and Linux, and you can get it from the Grok Bot page of your Cursor dashboard at cursor.com/dashboard/bot. (Cursor Help: FAQs) The official x.ai/bot page also has download buttons. (x.ai/bot) Only download from those two places.
What is Cursor Grokbot?
People search "cursor grokbot" because Cursor runs Grok Bot's accounts, billing and cloud computers. Grok Bot is included with every paid individual Cursor plan and Cursor Teams, and "the computers Bots work on run in Cursor's cloud." (xAI Docs) You do not need to know how to use Cursor's code editor to use Grok Bot. They are separate apps that share an account.
Does Grokbot have an API?
Not a public one for chatting with your Bots, as far as we could find. What exists today:
- Webhooks for routines. A routine can start "when something happens," including "a webhook call." The routine shows a webhook URL and key. (Cursor Help: Routines)
- An Admin API for teams. Admins can enable Grok Bot and manage capabilities, group access, network policy, team rules and setup scripts through the Admin API. (xAI Docs: Teams and enterprises)
xAI has a separate developer API for Grok models, but that is not the same as controlling Grok Bot. If you need full programmatic control of Bots, check the official docs, because this may change.
