Is Grokbot or Claude Cowork better for non-technical people?
Both are designed for plain English. Grokbot feels like managing a small team: you give each Bot a job title and it works in its own browser. Cowork feels like handing a project to one very capable assistant that can see the folders you point it at. If your work lives in web apps (CRM, inbox, social tools), Grokbot's always-on browser is a natural fit. If your work lives in documents, spreadsheets and decks on your own computer, Cowork's folder access is a natural fit.
Which is cheaper, Grokbot or Claude Cowork?
Entry prices are close: $20 a month for Cursor Pro with Grok Bot, and $20 a month for Claude Pro billed monthly. Both have usage limits, and both charge extra when you go past them if you turn that on. Anthropic notes that "agentic tasks consume more capacity than regular chat." (Anthropic) Grok Bot bills on-demand usage "from model and token cost." (xAI Docs FAQ) Neither company publishes exactly how much work a plan covers, so the real cost depends on how much you hand off. See our Grokbot pricing guide for tips on keeping costs down.
How do Grokbot and Claude Cowork handle safety?
Grokbot uses approval cards plus Auto Review, a separate review model that checks risky actions. (Cursor security docs) Cowork lets you choose which folders and tools Claude can reach, and "deleting anything needs your approval." (Anthropic) One difference to know: all Grokbot Bots on your account share one computer, logins and files (xAI Docs), so plan your connections with that in mind. Read our Grokbot safety guide.
Should I use Grokbot or Claude Cowork?
- Pick Grokbot if you want several always-on teammates working in web apps, running scheduled routines and handing work to each other.
- Pick Claude Cowork if you already pay for Claude, your work is mostly documents on your own computer, or you need an Enterprise plan with a HIPAA-ready option.
- Try both on the same small, real task for a week. Judge them on finished work, not demos.
